Contract Nets $74M for Boston Firefighters April 20, 2010

The Boston Firefighters Union is negotiating a new deal with the city.  The new contract would include random drug testing which seems to be driving up the cost.  See the full story at the Boston Herold and NECN.  Should firemen and police officers be expected to take random drug tests as part of their job anyway?
