Barney Frank February 2010

Is Barney Frank using his time speaking in front of congress properly and appropriately?  Frank is the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee that oversee Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac.  They are GSE's (Government Sponsored Enterprises) that made risky investment decisions in the late 1990's and early 2000's.  For more information visit the C-SPAN video library to see footage of the Housing and Mortgage Markets Hearing on March 23, 2010.  See Frank in action.  How much time and energy is spent in congress solving important problems versus placing blame?  Should the government be running the housing market? or would a free competitive market absent of government take-over be naturally solve most of these issues?
